Being a model my hair is constantly colored, straightened, teased, curled, blow dried you name it - It has it done & CONSTANTLY. This obviously isn't the best thing on my hair, and, over the years I have come to find the best products to feed my hair the essential nutrients it needs to keep it looking healthy.
I have been fortunate enough to have worked alongside some amazing hair stylists in my time & picking little beauty secrets up along the way & I am always learning what products work well with my hair. So I decided to write up a list of a few things that help keep my hair healthy & in good condition for styling.
I have this little saying "GIGO" which means - Garbage in, garbage out. If you put junk, soda, alcohol ect into your body your skin, eyes, nails & hair are going to reflect just that.. JUNK!
So here a few things that help my hair in good condition no matter what;
- Eat Clean -
This goes without saying! Everything you consume (Food & liquids) will reflect on your outer appearance! So go for healthy, clean foods & lots of water! Find my eating plan here
- Regular Hair Cuts -
I
know it sounds as though this will stop your hair from growing lovely
& long but in fact having a regular chop at the salon DOES help your
hair grow faster because its keeping it healthy & free of split
ends. A plus to that is you don't have split ends which make styling
your hair difficult & makes your hair look fried. I regularly have
my hair chopped & find it feels & looks so much nicer.- Eat Clean -

- Coconut Oil; consuming it & using it in your hair & on your body -
I like to use organic coconut oil & put it in the ends of my hair after I wash it,
I also regularly leave it in as a hair mask for a few hours & then
wash my hair with the Coconut Essence shampoo & conditioner. I use to have a spoonful of organic coconut oil in the morning on its own but now I take 2 capsules of the new Coconut Essence coco oil a day with breakfast.
Where can you get these Coconut Oil products?
- You can find organic coconut oil at any health food store
- Smooth out your hair before you style -
I always find that when I blow dry my hair with a paddle brush (like the one pictured below) it makes it smoother, more manageable to style with a GHD & gives it that little bit of extra volume. This helps stop the friz from happening!

- Healthy Hair, Skin & Nails Supplement -
I have been on this particular supplement for SUCH a long time now & always notice a huge difference when I am on it; Its the 'Hair, Skin & Nails' supp by Ethical Nutrients. This helps your body repair from the inside out.

LOVE ELLIE x

I love using coconut oil in my hair and on my skin. I also love using it to cook with, but often am unable to cook every single meal of every day. I think the capsules are a fantastic idea, but I'm struggling to find where I can purchase them. Where do you buy yours?
